The IGF-1 LR3 receptor is a premium research reagent for use in cell growth studies, IGF receptors and IGF-binding proteins, and is more effective than rH IGF-1 and the IGF-class LG3 carrier in vitro, due to a sharp increase in biological activity (stronger affinity to the IGF receptor). It is this increased biological activity that distinguishes the IGF-1 LR3 receptor from the average carrier (standard) IGF-1 LR3. IGF-1 LR3 medium is more often used in commercial cell culture compared to mammals and can also be used as a research reagent with economical costs for conducting studies in which biological activity is less important. To obtain maximum results in research or production of cells in vitro in animals, only the IGF-1 LR3 receptor should be used. Supplementation of mammalian cell cultures with long R3 IGF-1 in a much lower concentration leads to a higher increased productivity than with standard concentrations of insulin and / or standard IGF-1. IGF-1 LR3 is better able to stimulate the IGF receptor type 1 and, thus, induce a higher level of intracellular signaling, cell proliferation and inhibition of apoptosis.

Receptor IGF-1 LR3 is more biologically active than standard IGF-1 LR3, in vitro. 
As a result, Receptor Grade IGF-1 LR3 will give superior results compared to standard IGF-1 LR3.
