CABERGOLINE TABLETS IP CABGOLIN)

Description

Tablet Cabgolin 0.25 mg is a drug intended for the treatment of hyperprolactinemia – a state in which the level of the prolactin hormone in the body is abnormally high. The mechanism of action consists in lowering the level of prolactin, which is responsible for breast formation and milk production in women. High doses (1 mg) are also used as secondary therapy for Parkinson's disease, which causes uncontrolled movements.

Cabgolin 0.25 mg may cause some common side effects, such as constipation, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, and fatigue. Usually, these effects pass over time, but if they worsen, you should consult a doctor. When using the drug, it is recommended to refrain from driving vehicles and working with heavy equipment, as this can cause dizziness or drowsiness.

Take a Cabgolin 0.25 mg tablet regardless of food intake at the indicated time every day. Do not exceed the recommended dose and do not stop taking without consulting a doctor, as this may worsen the condition.

Do not take Cabgolin 0.25 mg if you are allergic to it, have high blood pressure, heart valve disease, or fibrosis affecting the heart, lungs, or abdomen. Use with caution if you have problems with the liver, heart or high blood pressure due to pregnancy.
