Winstrol is the best-known trade name of the drug Stanozolol. Stanozolol is a derivative of dihydrotestosterone, chemically modified in such a way that the anabolic (tissue-forming) properties of the hormone are significantly enhanced, and the androgenic activity is reduced to a minimum. Stanozolol is classified as an "anabolic" steroid and demonstrates one of the strongest dissociations of anabolic and androgenic effects among commercially available drugs. It is also not able to aromatize into estrogens. Stanozolol is the second most popular oral steroid, second only to Dianabol (methandrostenolone).
