Testosterone enanthate is a slow-acting injectable form of the androgen testosterone. After a deep intramuscular injection, the drug provides a stable release of testosterone into the bloodstream for approximately 2-3 weeks. To maintain a normal physiological level of testosterone during androgen replacement therapy, injections of testosterone enanthate are usually required at least once every two weeks, although more meticulous doctors administer the drug weekly.
