N-Acetyl Selank Amidate

N-acetyl selank amidate is a modified form of selank peptide. Selank is a short nootropic and anxiolytic peptide originally developed in Russia. This is an analogue of natural tafcin, which has an immunomodulating effect. Studies show that Selank changes the expression of genes in the brain, reducing the effect of the neurotransmitter GABA, changing the permeability of cell membranes and increasing the production of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF).

The modified form of selan, N-acetyl selan amidate, has a longer half-life and greater ability to overcome the blood-brain barrier. It also has stronger binding to receptors due to amidation. Selank is currently being studied in animal models for the treatment of stroke and other ischemic brain diseases. Perhaps the most thoroughly and carefully studied property of Selanka is its ability to modulate anxiety. Research shows that Selank has clinical effects similar to those of drugs such as benzodiazepines used to treat serious anxiety disorders.
