Potential synergistic effect of BPC-157 and TB-500 in wound healing

Research shows that BPC-157 and TB-500 can have a synergistic effect when used together. Both peptides promote wound healing through different biochemical pathways.

The first such way is cell migration

Successful wound healing depends on fibroblasts, which regulate the production of the extracellular matrix (which forms the basis of the intercellular structure of tissues and ensures the circulation of chemicals), as well as on cells of the immune system. In order for these cells to perform their work, they must move to the site of damage.

This movement, called migration, largely depends on the protein actin. Both BPC-157 and TB-500 play an important role in actin regulation:

• BPC-157 works at the gene level, increasing actin production.
• TB-500 is a protein that binds actin and helps keep it in those places where it is most useful for building actin filaments that ensure cell movement.

Together, BPC-157 and TB-500 act synergistically, increasing the amount and function of actin and, thus, increasing the rate of migration of fibroblasts and cells of the immune system to sites of damage.

The global effect is associated with growth hormone

Both TB-500 and BPC-157 interact with growth hormone in the healing process:

• BPC-157 increases the expression of growth hormone receptors on fibroblasts, increasing the lifespan of these cells and, consequently, their potential to promote soft tissue regeneration.
• With TB-500 on board, additional growth hormone receptors will not be wasted, because fibroblasts will have sufficient reserves of actin to use their extended lifespan.
